Carat pipe is a hot-wound high-density polyethylene (HDPE) winding structural wall pipe. The product uses high-density polyethylene resin (HDPE) as raw material, PP or PE corrugated pipe as auxiliary support pipe, and adopts hot winding molding process to produce high-density polyethylene large-diameter winding reinforced pipe. Because this kind of pipe was originally introduced by domestic companies from the German Carat Company, it is commonly known as Carat pipe in China. This product is an environmentally friendly and safe product with the advantages of light weight, strong pressure bearing capacity, high interface quality, long life, corrosion resistance, high ring stiffness, and convenient construction. It is widely used in urban water supply, drainage, long-distance water delivery, and farmland irrigation projects. The pipe is light in weight and has good overall flexibility. It is currently the preferred main pipe for buried sewage and drainage. Carat pipe products can be divided into four series: PR, OP, SQ, and VW. Among them: PR and OP are mainly used as buried drainage pipes, SQ is mainly used to manufacture containers or manholes, and VW is mainly used for tees, elbows, and secondary processing pipe fittings. The most widely used product is the PR series, which has a smooth inner surface and a special-shaped reinforced structure on the outside. The standard length of the pipe is 6 meters, and the inner diameter ranges from DN300 to DN4000. The product indicators all meet the requirements of GB/T 19472. 2-2017 B-type structural wall pipe standard and EN-13476 European standard.
